We’ve got QUICK news from the H.S.A! The Hive Jump team at Graphite Lab has made progress since the last update! More info below!
Wii U fans: We’re back in review…wait…wut?
Our last update explained some of the issues we faced with our first run through certification. We’re happy to share that we’ve fixed those issues (and a few more that we’d uncovered along the way). Then it happened. Again. We fixed those and went back into review. Then again. As of this writing, we’re back in review with Nintendo of America.
Usually this process takes about 5-6 days to get results back – but lately its been getting longer – we hope due to more complete playthroughs of the game. The last report found only one issue (a hang caused as a result of button mashing on a particular screen). We’re back to “all issues fixed” status and are in testing with NOA as I type. So, thanks, everyone, for bearing with us. Each review only improves stability and quality of the game!
A little more info: this isn’t a case of the same issue not being fixed – quite the opposite. Our engineering and QA team are permanently fixing these issues as they are found. So the game gets more solid with each pass. This is our first Wii U release, so we are humbled by your support as we move through this process. You are the best.

What about my Physical Rewards!?
Last month we worked to update all of the physical item and asset counts, reconfigure shipping costs and get assignments made to get things into production. We’ve been delayed by the Wii U progress described above (still), but are back in review (again). We have the hoodies and shirts designed and should be able to resume work on physical reward fulfillment soon!
We didn’t expect it to take this long either; but we’re not giving up or straying from the goal. Thanks for being patient and for being an amazing group of backers!
HOLY HECK! A STEAM SALE!
Last month we welcomed tons of new jumpers to the corps during the Steam Summer Sale. This was a great opportunity for us to drop the price for the first time under $10 and get a lot of new players to check out the game. Reviews have stayed strong (85% very positive!) and we can’t thank our backers enough for being the “first to fight” on the front lines of the hive.
Some fun stats – what colors were most popular during the month? Let’s look!
With the new recruit surplus, we saw an increase of casualties as well… let’s look a the total jumper deaths over the last month…
Hey, thanks PC GAMER!
How did we miss this?! We got a great nod from PC Gamer back in May for being among the best local multiplayer games on PC! We hope to bring that same love to the Wii U crowd who is long overdue for a jump!
